Gadronics Govee has expanded its run of entertainment tie-ins with three Moana-inspired lighting effects, arriving across its indoor smart lights ahead of the film’s theatrical release.
That release timing places the collaboration alongside a wave of recent Govee partnerships, following similar lighting collections tied to Dune: Part Two, Zootopia 2, and House of the Dragon over the past two years.
Those earlier collaborations focused on syncing ambient lighting to a film or show’s visual identity, and the Moana partnership follows that same approach by translating the movie’s ocean and island settings into colour.
Three named effects anchor the collection, with Motunui blending blue and green tones to represent Moana’s home island, The Heart of the Island combining green and gold to reflect the glow of Te Fiti, and Wayfinding pairing shades of blue to evoke open ocean and sky.
Each effect sits inside the existing Govee app, allowing owners of compatible indoor lights to switch between the three scenes without installing separate software or additional hardware.
That app-based delivery extends the collaboration across Govee’s full indoor lighting range, giving owners of products such as the Govee Ceiling Light and Govee TV Backlight collection access to the same three effects rather than limiting the tie-in to a single device.
The TV Backlight collection syncs colour output directly to on-screen content, a feature that pairs naturally with the Moana effects for viewers watching the film through a connected streaming setup at home.
Moana reaches UK cinemas in July, with a Disney+ streaming release expected to follow for subscribers who prefer to watch from home rather than in theatres.
Govee has not confirmed how long the Moana lighting effects will remain available within the app, following a pattern in which its previous film and TV collaborations have stayed active well beyond each title’s theatrical run.
