Apple TV just unveiled the trailer for Silo season 3, which premieres next month, and it reveals the split-timeline plot that’s coming.

New Silo trailer offers glimpse at split-timeline plot in season 3

Before Severance and Pluribus became Apple’s two biggest sci-fi hits, Silo was arguably the streamer’s first mainstream sci-fi breakout.

Now two seasons in, Silo’s highly anticipated third season is almost here.

Silo season 3 premieres Friday, July 3 with one episode, followed by weekly releases through September 4.

As seen in today’s new trailer, the season will follow two distinct timelines: one focused on Juliette in the present day, and the other exploring the origins of the silos in the past.

Here’s Apple’s season 3 summary, followed by the new trailer:

Season three of “Silo” continues the saga of a dystopian society of 10,000 people living underground under mysterious circumstances, while revealing an origin story set centuries earlier. In the present, Juliette Nichols (Ferguson) survives her forced “cleaning” but returns with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat. Meanwhile, in the “Before Times,” journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences.

Silo is based on a trilogy of hit novels by Hugh Howey, and the forthcoming season 4 will complete the story of the novels and end the series.

You can watch Silo’s first two seasons here on Apple TV.

Apple TV is available for $12.99 per month, or you can get it discounted through the Apple One bundle.
