Apple Vision Pro owners can now watch a full BBC Proms concert in immersive video, featuring Lukas Sternath performing Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A Minor. Here’s how.

Debut at the BBC Proms debuts on Apple TV

If you own an Apple Vision Pro and have never been to the majestic Royal Albert Hall, do yourself a favor: open up the Apple TV app for the device, and set aside 35minutes to watch Debut at the BBC Proms.

It features Austrian pianist Lukas Sternath’s performance of Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A Minor, alongside the BBC Symphony Orchestra, led by Finnish conductor Sakari Oramo.

This concert was filmed last year, and marked Sternath’s debut at the legendary BBC Proms, one of the most prestigious classical music events of the past century.

According to the BBC:

Filmed at the iconic Royal Albert Hall during the 2025 Proms season, the experience brings viewers onto the stage and into the heart of the orchestra. Audiences can watch the performance just inches away from the pianist’s hands, surrounded by the full force of the orchestra in Spatial Audio, and immersed in the grandeur of one of the world’s most historic concert venues.

The BBC also says that this “pilot is the result of BBC’s innovative research and development work with the support of Apple,” adding that its intention Debut at the BBC Proms is “to explore how emerging technologies could help bring the best of arts and culture to more people.”
