Samsung has unveiled the world’s first 130-inch Micro RGB TV (R95H) at CES 2026, a big step into ultra-premium territory.

This colossal display doesn’t just promise a cinematic experience at home, but it also combines cutting-edge picture technology with a design philosophy that treats technology as art.

Design that transforms the room

The R95H is designed to dominate your living space. How? Samsung’s Timeless Frame design, inspired by grand architectural windows, makes the screen appear to float.

The effect is striking. It turns the TV into a centrepiece rather than a background object. Integrated audio within the frame ensures sound feels naturally connected to the visuals. This adds a powerful sense of immersion.

Picture performance at scale

Samsung’s Micro RGB technology uses three separate red, green, and blue mini-LEDs to achieve higher brightness and colour accuracy than traditional backlighting.

In response, the R95H delivers 100% of the BT.2020 wide colour gamut, certified by the Verband der Elektrotechnik (VDE) for precision colour reproduction.

With Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, Colour Booster Pro, and HDR Pro, the TV enhances contrast and detail, making both bright highlights and shadowed scenes look lifelike. Early hands-on reports suggest blooming is minimal, with HDR highlights brighter than many OLED and Mini-LED rivals.

Smarter viewing experience

Beyond visuals, the R95H integrates Samsung’s Vision AI Companion, offering conversational search, proactive recommendations, and AI-driven features like AI Football Mode Pro and Live Translate.

It also supports HDR10+ Advanced, a royalty-free HDR format backed by Samsung and Amazon Prime Video, ensuring compatibility with the latest content standards.

Opinion

We’ve seen large-format TVs before, but Samsung’s 130-inch Micro RGB feels different. It’s the ambition that’s making a difference. It’s basically a statement piece for those who want their home cinema to somewhat rival commercial theatres.
