Ecovacs’ new flagship Deebot X12 OmniCyclone packs FocusJet power
Ecovacs is back with another flagship robot vacuum. This one is clearly aiming to outmuscle stubborn dirt rather than just glide over it.
The new Deebot X12 OmniCyclone builds on last year’s X11. However, it introduces a headline feature called FocusJet technology designed to tackle tougher grime with deeper, more targeted cleaning performance. It’s paired with a familiar all-in-one dock. This time there are upgrades that push hands-free cleaning even further.
At the heart of the X12 is a combination of high airflow suction and improved mopping. The new OZMO Roller 3.0 system uses a 27cm roller mop that continuously cleans itself as it works. It covers more floor in a single pass while avoiding the “dirty mop” problem that plagues older bots. Also, it automatically lifts when carpets are detected. So you don’t end up with soggy rugs.
Edge cleaning is another area getting attention. With TruEdge 3.0, the X12 can reach within 1mm of walls and corners. This is about as close as robot vacuums currently get to proper manual cleaning. Add in the ZeroTangle 4.0 brush, and Ecovacs is clearly trying to solve two of the biggest annoyances: missed edges and hair wrap.
The OmniCyclone dock is doing a lot of the heavy lifting here too. It packs in PureCyclone 2.0 auto-emptying, heated water mop washing, and a self-cleaning system. This system can keep things running for up to 48 days without intervention. In other words, this is very much a “set it and forget it” approach. At least for a month and a half at a time.
There’s also a growing layer of AI smarts. The X12 uses Agent YIKO 2.0, Ecovacs’ in-house assistant. It can analyse your home layout and usage habits to create tailored cleaning routines. It’s part of a wider trend where robot vacuums are shifting from scheduled cleaning to something more adaptive and autonomous.
Elsewhere, features like blast suction airflow, adaptive 4-wheel-drive climbing, and automated maintenance systems round out what is clearly a spec-heavy flagship.
The Deebot X12 OmniCyclone is available now in Europe for €1,399. This puts it firmly in premium territory, but with a feature set that’s trying to justify every cent.
